Important Traffic Information
From 05th August, for approximately 4 weeks, a section of Gore Street will be closed. Below is a map for your reference. This will impact on anyone arriving from the A299 to Preston Court.

Advice from the venue
*Continue past Gore Street and come into Preston via Grove Ferry (The junction is at Upstreet) shown on the map with an arrow.
OR
*Carry on along the A299 and come to Preston via Wingham.

If you are not local, for context, this may effect most people coming from the M2/A2, if you do not take the route to Canterbury.
Please arrange your transportation in advance of the big day. When booking, be sure to provide your desired arrival time so the taxi firm can recommend the correct pickup time, taking the planned road closures into account.
Here are a few suggestions on local places to stay, including camping, glamping, high end hotels, Budget hotels, bed and breakfasts, and Airbnb's. As local taxi's are hard to come by, we have also included details of local cab firms for you.
The Bell Hotel, Sandwich
A grand Edwardian Hotel, brimming with character, set in a beautiful spot of Sandwich, overlooking the River Stour. Being situated right in the heart of Sandwich means you are in short walking distance to many cafe's, restaurants, and pubs. Payable parking is located across the street from the hotel. The Bell Hotel is a 14 minute drive to the wedding venue and a 13 minute drive to The Bedford Inn for Friday's gathering. The Bell Hotel is a reasonably priced 3 star hotel and is often fully booked during the summer months, so we advise to book well in advance.
Albion House, Ramsgate
Albion House sits in pride of place on top of the East cliff. Looking out over Albion Gardens and out to sea there are stunning views of the Royal Harbour—the only one in the country. Payable parking is situated outside and along a few local streets. Ramsgate train station is 5 minute cab journey or a pleasant 20 minute walk away. Albion House is a 25 minute drive to the wedding venue, and a 5 minute drive or a 12 minute walk to The Bedford Inn for Friday's gathering. Albion House is a 4 star hotel, with an onsite restaurant which is open daily, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering menus by a renowned local chef. With only 14 luxury rooms available, it is advised to get booked as early as possible, due to it being hugely popular with tourists during the summer months.

Our wedding venue is situated within a quiet Kentish town, where local taxi firms usually operate with only one or two fleet cars. Therefore, we highly recommend that you pre-book any taxi's ahead of attending either days of our two day wedding event. If you are a large party, or know people staying close by, or in the same hotel as you, it may worth hiring a mini-bus, or arranging to car/taxi share. Please note that app based cab firms like Uber, Bolt, and Kabbee do not operate in this part of Kent.
