The Big Day

Thursday 8th August

Arrive between 11:30 - 12:00

to be guided to your seats.

The ceremony will commence at 12:30

Afternoon guests to arrive from 17:00

Our venue requires all of our friends and family to be seated by 12pm, for the ceremony to start at 12:30.

Swiftly followed by a drinks reception on the lawn,  much feasting in the barn, vintage fair games in the courtyard, and—of course—a huge party in the evening! Whilst we would love to have been able to invite everyone to our big day,  sadly we cannot invite everyone's partners and/or children due to a limitation of day guests allowed at our venue. Only children who have roles to play throughout the day have been invited.  We have purposefully booked an early ceremony to ensure our afternoon guests will be able to enjoy as much of the day with us as possible.

Food & drink will be provided for all of our guests throughout the entire day - catering for all dietary requirements & allergens.

The Day After

Friday 9th August

Spend the afternoon with us, or pop in to say farewell.

 Drop by anytime from 12:0017:00

Everyone is invited to join us at the Royal Harbour Brasserie, Ramsgate, on Friday 9th August from

12:0017:00.

You are welcome to continue the wedding celebrations with us over some nibbles provided by us,  or simply pop in for a quick drink before heading home.  Based quite literally at the furthest end of the harbour arm,  the Royal Harbour Brasserie  boasts a unique position on Ramsgate's East Pier. Framed by a selection of the towns fine Georgian & Regency houses, alongside the backdrop of the bustling working harbour, its a uniquely lovely spot! For those driving, there is some limited parking directly in front of the venue, a "free-for-all" along the east pier (you must park as close to the railings as possible) and several near by car parks-all are roughly a 10 minute  (delightful) walk to the venue. Whilst we would love to spend as much time with all of our nearest and dearest, Friday is completely optional, and we fully understand if you are unable to attend.

Our Story

A little bit about our day...

In collaboration with our exceptional photographers at Jackson & Co. Photography, we invite you to embrace the joy of capturing countless memories during our special day through photos and videos. While we cherish these moments being documented, we also wholeheartedly request that you fully immerse yourselves in the beauty of our wedding ceremony. To ensure everyone's presence is cherished, we kindly ask that no photos or videos be taken during this significant time.

For our afternoon guests, please arrive from 17:00 to join us for dessert, drinks and further celebrations. Evening food will be provided for everyone.

The majority of our wedding day will be spent on grass and gravel,  so please bear that in mind when choosing footwear to go with your glad-rags. For those choosing to wear heels, heel protectors are recommended for stiletto's. Chunky heels,  wedged heels, or flats would be ideal.

In consideration of our environmental impact, we are making conscious efforts to create an eco-friendly atmosphere for our special day. In light of this, we politely request that you refrain from bringing any confetti. We will be providing floral confetti to contribute to the sustainability of our celebration.

Have a question?

By clicking on the Q&A button below, you will find some frequently asked questions and answers regarding our wedding celebrations. If you cannot find an answer to your question, simply get in touch with us. Our contact details have been provided at the footer of the webpage.

You do not need to be fully suited and booted, as we are getting married in August and the weather is likely to be hot, hot, hot! Semi-formal, summer suits, and party attire would be ideal. Kilts are very much welcome!!!

The bar at our wedding venue operates as card only. Should you wish to tip any of the wonderful staff at Preston Court, a cash tip jar is situated at the bar.

For anyone who likes a little bet, and wanting to take part in some games that will be going on throughout the speeches, we encourage you to bring some change and small notes (50p and £1 coins, £5 notes).

Even though our ceremony will be taking place outside, smoking is not permitted throughout the ceremony. We kindly ask that any smokers amongst our guests please be considerate of our non-smoking guests and only smoke at the designated smoking areas around the venue.  Any member of staff will happily direct you to a designated area if you are unsure.

There will be plenty of dancing throughout the day, so should you wish to bring some comfy dancing shoes, a basket will be provided for guests to store their shoes until they are needed.

Gifts

Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift. You being part of our special day is a big enough gift to us both. Should you wish to gift us, we have created an online Honeymoon pot, where any pennies gifted will be lovingly received, and will help towards our dream honeymoon.
